Since winning the very first writing contest I ever entered at the age of 10 (a ridiculous short story about a boy who falls through a magic map of the Middle East and has to find his way home), I've had a love/hate relationship with writing. I haven't won a single contest since then, but I have managed to scrape out a living as a writer from time to time while working on my own personal projects when I had the chance: screenplays, blogs and what not.
My professional life veered away from writing over the last several years, but I still have a constant craving to do one of the things I love most. That's how the idea for Shedding Ink was born: A place of my own on the Internet where I can write for many different audiences, even just for myself sometimes, and also provide a repository of my work—what I'm writing now and what I've written in the past.
I think I can say without false modesty that writing comes naturally to me; it's something I'm good at, something I enjoy, and something I can help you with if you need a writer with a variety of experience. So whether you're here to review my work for professional purposes, or you're a friend or family member who's just here to read a review, I hope you like what you see and that you'll make many return visits.
