December 22, 2008 – Let'stalk about
sex
In the movies, that is. The giant backlog of reviews I'm
trying to cut into while visiting the in-laws in Alabama this week
allows me to group a few of them by topic. There's John Waters'
over-the-top satire A Dirty Shame,
Kevin Smith's romantic comedy Zack
and Miri Make a Porno and Bill Condon's biopic Kinsey.
I can also throw
in the John Irving adaptation The Door in the Floor
for good measure,
in which sex plays a critical role but isn't the main subject.
